FIOLA MARE:

The staff will be the first to tell you that Fiola Mare is one of the first lady’s favorite Washington DC restaurants.  And considering Michelle Obama‘s distinct flair for elegance and sophistication, one glance at the chic fish presentations or a snug seat overlooking the Potomac River at Fiola Mare and it’s obvious that fine dining is at it’s best at this swanky establishment.  Great for fancy brunches, intimate dinners or meal at the bar, Fiola Mare delivers in every aspect.  From service to quality urchin and caviar, you’ll pay top dollar as if you earn the president’s salary for Fiola Mare’s top notch service, fantastic ambiance, and some of the freshest fish in the world as prepared in the most decadent and ingenious ways!  Located at 3050 K Street NW, Fiola Mare is a must for dining out in DC.  A foodie’s paradise for their glorious and ethereal meals, you won’t be disappointed when luxury meets you at every turn at Fiola Mare!

BLUE DUCK TAVERN:

A date night favorite for President Obama and the first lady, Blue Duck Tavern is located at 2101 24th Street NW inside Washington DC’s uber luxe Park Hyatt Hotel in the tony Georgetown neighborhood.  Their seasonal menu is like farm to table dining where the grits are creamy, the meats are tender, the vegetables crisp, and the flavor of each dish outstanding!  Fresh and quality merge beautifully with a minimal decor that mixes singles with couples, families with businessmen, groups with individuals – all dining over a menu of classic American dishes with rustic appeal and elegant charm.

THE CAPITOL ROOM @ The Fairfax Hotel:

Situated off of Dupont Circle and at the foot of Embassy Row, Washington DC’s Fairfax Hotel at 2100 Massachussets Avenue NW plays host to some of the world’s most important ambassadors, dignataries and leaders, so it’s no wonder the 5-star establishment’s signature restaurant The Capitol Room resembles a state room with fancy red velvet seating, a wood-paneled fire place, and exquisite detailing in every square inch.  Service is spectacular at this spot where American fare is served for lunch and dinner, and is a perfect place to hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.  Quiet and reserved, The Capitol Room is perfect for business deals, easy dates, and the elderly!  Check it out and then take in the signature neighborhood that is unlike any other in the country where rows and rows of DC mansions serve as consulates and embassies to some our favorite international allies.
