What’s Happening To AMERICAN AIRLINES?? Industry Leader Scaling Back On IN-FLIGHT SERVICE???

The American Airline signature Chocolate Chip Cookie may soon be a thing of the past…

By now, we have all become too familiar with the beleaguered tales of the struggling airline industry.  If it’s not a story on the Today Show, chances are you have experienced it yourself – the charges for checked baggage, menacing security, cramped seating, high-priced snacks, and flights disappearing!  Amidst the fleeting competition, my beloved AMERICAN AIRLINES continued to soar as indicated with their recent purchase of US AIR.

But nothing last always, and with a lack of quality service to compete with, my insiders tell me American Airlines is also cutting back in a major way – limited their in-flight food service in their first class and business cabins!

It has been rumored that as of October 1st, the signature American Airlines standards of luxury – warm nuts, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and multi-course meals will be erased from all in-flight service, and taking a page out of the US Air book will limit meals, cut back amenities, and totally get rid of ALL extras!

What a bummer… This could not have been more evident than in the simple salad served on my recent flight from LAX to JFK of a buffalo chicken salad that featured a few slices of seasoned white chicken meat over bland cut up romaine lettuce.

American used to have the BEST of the BEST in-air service for domestic flights.  Please don’t change this.  I beg of you… American, you’re our final hope in-air luxury when it comes to showing the rest of the airlines how to do it right.

BJC.
