***THE IVY*** July’s Restaurant of the Month!!!
Known for their constant and consistent celebrity clientele, THE IVY is one of Beverly Hills’ most cherished and beloved restaurants where paparazzi camp outside in hopes of catching a big name go in or come out. Those looking to shun the spotlight avoid The Ivy, but those looking for a little publicity, know it’s the place to see and be seen.
Located at 113 N. Robertson Boulevard, The Ivy serves up hefty portions of all-American fare where brunches are celebrated and dining al fresco is ideal with the LA sun perfectly hitting the restaurant’s happening patio.
Best known for star-gazing, the food at The Ivy has gotten better over the years, since I’ve been going in the early 2000′s… I stopped in the other day for brunch and spent $150 for a two-person meal. I mean, it’s Beverly Hills, so, as you can imagine, dining at The Ivy will cost top dollar, but their vast menu choices, beautiful diners, adorable servers, and quaint environment keep diners reveling in delight.
The Ivy scones make for an ingenious and ideal outset to upscale dining. The Cold Poached Artichoke with Fresh Tomatoes, Basil & Homemade Croutons was a beautiful presentation served with a delicious and refreshing vinaigrette.
The Ivy’s Cobb Salad Ivy Cobb Salad features Baby Lettuce, Beets, Avocado, Tomato, Organic Eggs, Nueske’s Bacon, Roasted Turkey Breast (Free Range) & Pt. Reyes Blue Cheese. It’s a decadent salad, but standard in terms of taste. But quality reigns at The Ivy, and the freshness of their salads is simply undeniable.
It’s soft shell crab season, so I ordered The Ivy’s Soft Shell Crab special last week when I dined. Served with either a garlic butter sauce or a cajun spice sauce, I couldn’t help myself, and ordered it with both sauces paired with the two sauteed crustaceans. Paired with shoestring fries, the dish was an epic jubilee of taste and satisfaction.
The Ivy’s legendary menu also has a great fish and chips, burgers, a lobster roll, pasta, ribs, and steak options.
As if the white wooden fence were not enough of an indicator, The Ivy is fancy and posh…. Expect to dine next to diamonds, Birkins, and tons of blondes, but you will dine like a celebrity, if not with one, at this all-star Beverly Hills fantasy.
The Ivy defines Beverly Hills dining and is great for brunch with friends, casual dates, or whenever mom is in town. Of course, if you want to be spotted dining with a celebrity, dining at The Ivy will get you images to remember it forever. In any event, you haven’t done Beverly Hills, until you’ve dined at The Ivy.
