THE FRIEZE Ice Cream Factory Is NOT WORTH THE HYPE, Miami
The Frieze website claims they are the “world’s greatest ice cream company,” but I stopped in their location off of 16th and Michigan, a block off of Lincoln Road in Miami last week, and while the ice cream parlor offered a variety in flavors and cones, I’m more than positive, I would’ve been happier had I gone to Baskin’ Robbins. It’s simple with this one, folks – DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!
My friend Gigi RAVES about The Frieze and how good their ice cream is! Supposedly so good, in fact, she makes it her duty to stop in multiple times while visiting Miami to get some flavored ice on her tongue! She dragged me and some friends along after a walk on Lincoln post dinner at Yard Bird and I got a scoop strawberry ice cream in a sugar cone… I don’t know if it was sugar, salt or strawberries, but the ice cream totally lack the flavor and taste I expect when I indulge in this staple dessert. I tested a couple of other flavors and simply was not impressed.
The prices were decent, the service was friendly and the place was clean, and although they have two locations in the Miami area, I’ll stick to Breyer’s, Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerrys.
Have you ever been to The Frieze? Do share with me your thoughts!
