The Daily Dish – FRANCISCO’S FAVORITE

Francisco's Favorite
Francisco’s Favorite at Francisco’s Centro Vasco…
FRANCISCO’S CENTRO VASCO is one of those understated New York restaurants that may not receive a ton of hubbub, but if you live in the Chelsea district, then you already know about this neighborhood lobster house that delivers awesome seafood and authentic Spanish dishes that are loaded with flavor, personality, and beauty!

Located at 159 West 23rd Street right off of 7th Avenue, Francisco’s is a tavern of sorts where humungous lobster claws decorate the Mexican underground feel.  It’s not chic, but there are few tourists and the food is outstanding!  Gigantic crustaceans, arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), shrimp, paella and an insanely rich and delicious garlic soup make for “roll up your sleeves” food that is as good as it gets!

The other day, I strolled in for Francisco’s Favorite – a creamy and sensational dish that is one of their signature dishes!  The meal includes a 1 1/4 pound lobster that is stuffed with fresh crab meat and covered in a gooey swiss cheese, and it is one of the best dinners in New York City – period!  At $38.95, it also comes with melted butter, lemon wedges, a salad and a side and is worth every penny!  It’s scrumptious, it’s decadent, and it’s absolutely delicious!  Check out these pics and see for yourself why Francisco’s is place you need to run to next time you’re in NYC and looking for some good ass lobster!
