Shrimp Nachos & Fish Tacos @ The TEQUILA PARK TAQUERIA, NYC
The other night I stopped by New York’s still-trendy HUDSON HOTEL located at 356 West 58th Street to take in some music and lounge on their lanai. Some friends hooked me up with some grub from the outdoor restaurant TEQUILA PARK TAQUERIA located behind the check-in counter on the hotel’s patio lounge.
We started with shrimp nachos! The crisp and thin tortilla chips lathered with cheese, peppers, spices, onions, herbs, guacamole and jumbo shrimp were divine! As if I had hopped a plane and crossed the border, the authentic Mexican dish was pulsated with flavor, aroma, and genuine taste that left me wanting more and more!
Somehow, I managed to contain my greed, and patiently waited for the fish tacos to arrive… And yes, they were just as gloriously prepared – grilled onions and peppers topped a white fish and wrapped in a soft shell tortilla, I squeezed some lime throughout and imagined white sands at my feet and ocean waves accompanying the music! The heat of the Mexican savor that tickled my tongue made the outdoor Tacqueria seem like a sombrero-wearing, salsa-downing, merengue-thrusting heaven, and I was 100% content.
Although I have visited the Hudson Hotel many times… I’ve even stayed there for a night or two… I’ve never had food from the Tequila Park Taqueria! But I can definitely assure you, I have found a new MUST VISIT for Mexican food in New York, and possibly one of my new favorite restaurants in the world!
