Room Service: Breakfast at the FONTAINEBLEAU, Miami
The first time I stepped into Miami’s ultra-luxurious and fabulous hotel The Fontainebleau, the year was 2000. It was my first time to Miami and I was extra excited because The Fountainbleau was featured in two of my favorite movies – The Bodyguard and Scarface! Upon checking in, eleven years ago, my group immediately checked out. The hotel was run-down, listless, tainted and sullied. We ended up at the Eden Roc on that trip.
But this past weekend, I stayed at the recently renovated Fontainebleau and attended the Best Buddies event there with my client Vivica A. Fox. The hotel had a major overhaul about four years ago and there’s been quite a buzz about the practically new hotel. I had been dying to go back! The revamping made for a vast improvement, today the Fontainebleau boasts updated luxury clean and contemporary suites, chic lobbies, sundry restaurants, multiple pools, and sheer elegance. Suite patios offer amazing and breath-taking views of the ocean and Collins Avenue and are spacious and roomy!
I ordered room service on my last day and had chicken sausage and fluffy scrambled eggs… It arrived in exactly 30 minutes and I loved it! The sausage links were loaded with smoky flavors and cooked to perfection. The eggs had to be the fluffiest I ever had… I n0rmally stay at the Ritz Carlton or The Setai when I’m in Miami, I have now added The Fontainebleau to that list… It’s a real TREAT!
