RESTAURANT REVIEW: A French Paradise @ LA MIRABELLE | Burgers and Bourbon with BJ Coleman


LA MIRABELLE is an outstanding family-run Upper West Side french bistro located at 102 West 86th Street in Manhattan.  A neighborhood favorite, La Mirabelle is often frequented by local celebrities and offers some of the best french fare in the city!

Traditional french cuisine served by friendly servers in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere make dining out seem like you’re eating at home!  Although well lit, the two-level welcoming space is ideal for intimate low-key dates, friendly and easy dining and/or groups!


The artichoke appetizer is a delightful and refreshing starter… Served with a homemade vinaigrette, the artichoke makes for a great alternative to a salad!  The appetizer menu also features delicious escargot, pate, foie gras, salads, onion soup, portobello mushrooms and chicken liver.

Entrees at La Mirabelle are equally enticing!  Chicken, duck, veal, sweetbreads, lamb, steak, sole, and pastas make ordering fun, but not complicated.  The broiled filet of salmon with leek sauce (pictured above) is served over a hefty bed of rice and is a magnificent dish of vigor and taste.

The chicken livers are divine and the shrimp scampi is a must for first timers!

I love La Mirabelle for their creative recipes, decadent dishes, familial ambiance and cozy experience.  If you’re on the UWS and looking for a good spot to eat, put La Mirabelle top on your list!  It’s a french paradise right in Manhattan!
