***Restaurant of the Week***: RED, Miami

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times before: Miami is my favorite city in the world! The hotels and restaurants alone make for a luxurious city with plenty of options to showoff and show out. Prime 112 is my favorite steakhouse in Miami, but over the weekend I stopped into RED.
Red is a dark and sexy venue, so please forgive my photos. Anyway, I’ve visited Red before and, although it was good, I was not that impressed. But this weekend, I switched things up by NOT ordering a steak and RED now tops one of my favorite restaurants in Miami Beach!

The dining all is accented with various shades of vibrant blood red banquets, chairs and art. It’s a great date spot as well as a good spot for a large group. Red is Upscale dining. Go there with a fat wallet and be dressed to impress, and although there is no official attire, Red is definitely a place to see and be seen.
We ordered a bunch or appetizers and sides, and ate them tapas-style as a table. The stuffed sausage with bell peppers was amazing, the creamed corn out of this world, the string beans fresh and the lumps of out of the shell crabmeat came with drawn butter and fresh lemon. The steaks are aged at Red, the menu is extensive and diverse, and everything comes in generous portions here. Red has a vast wine cellar that can be seen from the main dining hall and a case of Gurkha cigars is conveniently located at the host stand!
Red doesn’t come anywhere close to Prime 112, but if you’re in Miami, be advised, it sure is a decent substitute.
