Restaurant of the Month: CRUSTACEAN’S, Beverly Hills
CRUSTACEANS is the quintessential Beverly Hills restaurant. Located at 9646 S. Santa Monica Boulevard, Crustaceans is in the heart of 90210. Swanky decor with a live aquarium doubling as a floor, Crustaceans offers some of the best dishes on the west coast with traditional family seafood and noodle recipes that keep celebrities coming through the door like being backstage at the Kodak Theatre on Oscar night!
Just the other night alone, I spotted reality TV star Nene Leakes, musician Dr. Dre, actress Vivica Fox, and singer Lil’ Mo at different tables throughout the duplex space! A Whitney Houston favorite, Crustaceans has always topped my list for quality and taste, ambiance and mood, and the ultimate in relaxed fine dining.
Run by the An Family, Crustacean’s signature dish is their Vietnamese style garlic noodles, traditionally served with one of their most popular dishes – the Drunken Crab, where a whole Dungeness crab can be cracked upon serving after simmering in sake, chardonnay, garlic and scallions! A rich and delightful feast that costs $55, it’s well worth it when paired with their decadent and buttery garlic noodles, or any of their crisp and fresh vegetable sides!
The Charbroiled Colossal Royal Tiger Prawns is another heroic dish that swoops on your tongue and rescues your taste buds from any garbage that may have intruded your palate from any the day’s previous meals.
The salt & pepper calamari appetizer is a small but fancy beginning that is apropos for a place like Crustaceans. All of their dishes, whether it’s an are to die for, and the celeb watching is better than reading this week’s Us Magazine!
A Beverly Hills experience is untouched if it does not include this gem of the dining world! Crustaceans is a notable spot with exclusive high praise well deserved for dazzling the tongue as well as the other four senses with their hospitable service, lavish fare, and beguiling surroundings!
