Oatmeal Cookies from THE LUSCIOUS LITTLE DESSERT COMPANY, NYC

Cookies from The Luscious Little Desserts Company

I love helping fellow entrepreneurs… I know what it takes to start a company, and trust me, when I tell you, it’s not easy.  You need as much support as possible, particularly from people who believe in you and what it is you’re doing it!  I certainly wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the support of my Coleman Entertainment Group clients, family and friends who have supported me along the way!

So it is with great pleasure that I introduce you to THE LUSCIOUS LITTLE DESSERT COMPANY!

I picked up some baked goods from The Luscious Little Dessert Company at a little folding table during a Food Market set up on the NE corner of 125th and Adam Clayton Powell Streets a couple of months ago, and was delighted to find the owner/baker, Diana Scott-Sho, in the same spot yesterday while running errands amidst another street market/fair.  I had passed up on purchasing any fruits or breads, but hurried over to the desserts when I spotted Diana’s table!

Spicy Oatmeal Rum Raisin Cookies

As sweet as the desserts she bakes, Diana allowed me to taste the Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookie and Cashew Butterscotch cookie to decipher which ones to purchase!  After Diana told me how she soaks her raisins in rum, I ultimately chose a bag of the former for $5 with the intention of having dessert after dinner for the remainder of the week.  But upon arriving home, I opened the bag for sampling sake, and devoured the 16 2-3inch in diameter cookies right there, in one setting!

Soft, chewy, spicy, rich and delicious are the only way to describes these cookies!  They weren’t too wide or too thick, so only a couple would suffice for a normal serving.  I LOVE THESE COOKIES and love Diana and her Luscious Little Desserts!

The company does not have a website yet, but if you look at the pics closely, you can find all of Diana’s information for special ordering… (and she has a Twitter account)!  And while I could have easily purchased a batch of the Cashew Butterscotch cookies had it not been for my diet and budget, Diana also makes great cheesecakes (who’s crust recipe came from her great grandmother), banana nut breads, pound cakes, and pies!

She’s not world famous yet, but once the world takes notice of these scrumptious little desserts with fun packaging and sinfully good recipes, Diana and The Luscious Little Dessert Company will surely be the world’s new Mrs. Fields!

I can’t wait to find her again, so I can tell you more about The Luscious Little Dessert Company!

BJC.

Raisin's soaked in rum would have sold me too....LOL! If I had more discipline and wasn't watching my weight, I would order some :-( Good luck to Diana....her cookies look delicious!
