My Breakfast: COTTAGE CHEESE, FLAX SEED & BLUEBERRIES
This blog had me dieting all weekend. I’ve packed on the pounds since I’ve started covering my daily food intake, so the diet continued this morning!
I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite and easiest replacement meals – cottage cheese with ground flaxseed, topped with blueberries! I downed this delicious meal this morning and whether it’s substituted for breakfast, as a snack or for a personal dessert, it’s the ultimate health choice. The cottage cheese serves as a great source of protein, the flaxseed serves a source of fiber AND omega-3′s and the blueberries is one serving of fruit for the day!
I get a low fat cottage cheese and mix in the the flaxseed for a crunch to the sweet curds of the cheese and top it with the blueberries for a double sweetness that’s not overwhelming but quite pleasing to the senses! Try this meal out and let me know what you think!
