Judging MISS TEEN USA Over A 4-Course Dinner @ OLIVE’S in THE BAHAMAS!

I was recently invited by the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) to judge the 2015 Miss Teen USA pageant in the Bahamas, and joined former Miss Teen USA Danielle Doty and t People’s Choice Awards president Fred Nelson to ultimately help select Miss Louisiana to take over the crown!

This is my second time judging Miss Teen USA (I actually helped select Danielle, the then Miss Texas back in 2011), and I absolutely love it.  Not only am I fascinated by the intriguing process and the  gifted women who participate, but the MUO hooks their judges up with a trip to Paradise Island, luxurious suites at the luxurious hotel THE COVE, and opulent meals for the various stages of the 2-3 day judging process.

Paula Shugart, MUO’s outstanding president, welcomed us to the Bahamas on the first night with an epic feast that included a four-course meal at celebrity chef Todd English’s swanky OLIVE’S Restaurant, located inside The Atlantis.

Here’s what we noshed on at the delicious Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in a private room with spectacular service by the restaurant’s uber-friendly staff!  Olive’s is a must for anyone who stays at the Atlantis during a trip to the Bahamas!

Olive's has a great appetizer dish called the Crab 'n Slab that features a breaded crabcake loaded with fresh crab meat and topped with tuna crudo and an avocado and grilled corn relish.  Served with cilantro lime aioli.  It's amazing!

The Double Cut Pork Chop at Todd English's Olive's Restaurant is a decadent treat!  It's served with a sweet potato puree, roasted corn and a pineapple bbq sauce!
