AUGUST is a very special month for me! On August 26th, I will celebrate my 32nd birthday and this month also marks Burgers & Bourbon’s one year anniversary! Boy, does time fly! Whitney Houston’s new single from the upcoming Sparkle film (in theaters August 17th) is called Celebrate! So I thought we could celebrate each other all month long through exclusive Burgers & Bourbon weekly giveaways and this is the first one!
I love BBQ, and in NYC, nobody does it better than BROTHER JIMMY’S! I stopped by their Murray Hill location on Lexington Avenue and 31st Street the other day just to try out some of the recipes from the new cook book! And, as you can imagine, everything was divine! Their hush puppies with maple butter are scrumptious, the smokey chow chow splendid, and the pork loins heavenly! All of which are shared in their new cook book!

If its one thing I love...its a rich red velvet cupcake! my all time favorite cake flavor. Would have never even guessed Brother Jimmy's makes baked goods!
