CHIPOTLE Closes 43 Stores After E.COLI OUTBREAK!

CHIPOTLE, the over-hyped and popular Mexican fast food chain restaurant has closed the doors at 43 locations after an E.Coli outbreak sent more than 20 individuals to the hospital in Washington state and Oregon.

20 people who ate in 6 Chipotle restaurants were exposed to E.Coli.

E. coli is short for Escherichia coli.  It is a type of bacterium present in the gut of humans and other animals.  It is usually transferred person to person after someone goes to the bathroom (most likely #2) and fails to wash their hands, and then goes and preps food!

With over 1700 locations, Chipotle can handle this crisis.  Their lunch lines are so long in Manhattan, they will recoup the loss in no time, but you won’t see me there.  There’s no kind of promo for “healthy ingredients” that will get me into this burrito and taco chain any time soon.

This E.Coli scare is just another reason to avoid fast food all together.   Not only is the food just not healthy, but it’s common knowledge that those serving your plate usually are not adequately educated on the proper protocol for successfully handling food.  GROSS!
