Breakfast at BOND 45, NYC
There’s nothing like rising in the morning, pulling back for a deep stretch and filling the stomach with something warm, tasty and delicious! Yes, breakfast can be indeed be the best meal of the day. Experts have long said that starting the day off with a healthy and well-rounded breakfast is key to daily maintenance of a healthy diet. And unlike the weekend Brunch, the business lunch or the after work cocktail, meeting with a colleague in the morning over some coffee and eggs is common in New York and some of my best business deals have been made at breakfast!
The other day, I strolled through Times Square at 8am, passed the bustling crowds outside of Good Morning America and nabbed a corner booth at one of the most underrated restaurants in all of New York – BOND 45 for a breakfast meeting with an associate.
Located at 154 West 45th Street, Bond 45 is situated in the heart of Manhattan’s theatre district. Open from 8am – 10pm (midnight on the weekends), Bond 45 serves up some of the best italian, steaks and seafood in the city! Bond 45 is perfect for pre-theatre dining, great for business lunches, and convenient for post-theatre or late night trysts.
Oversized thin-crust brick oven pizzas, an antipasto bar of over 32 vegetables, whole red snapper, dover sole, pastas, jumbo lump crabmeat, fried artichoke, steaks, and desserts galore make feasting with friends easy and accessible in a lively and sophisticated way. Lush booths, brass finishings, burgundy leather, and top notch service create exemplary details that define New York dining.
Breakfast at Bond 45 is less daunting. There’s eggs benedict, waffles and pancakes, meats, pastries, fruits and yogurts to please anyone at anytime. One of the great Bond 45 features it the sufficient and diverse menu, and no matter what time of day, there’s always a unique variety to please a group or even the most pickiest eater. Not to mention Bond 45 will cater to your needs – it’s just that kind of restaurant.
I ordered oatmeal and the fennel sausage! I added my own flaxseed. The oatmeal was standard, but it was served with fresh cinnamon, which I loved!
The fennel sausage was delicious. Made on the premises with fennel flavor, the meaty jumbo link had a bit of spice but was not overwhelming. Its tough exterior and tender center made for a great combo texture that went deliciously well with my oatmeal!
Anyway, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bond 45. I love it for breakfast, I love it for lunch and I love it for dinner! I’ve gone with friends, business partners and even my family! It’s perfect for anyone at any occasion and is conveniently located in midtown! It’s blocks away from Port Authority and a 5 minute cab ride from Penn Station so Bond 45 is also a great last stop for visitors!
