A Burger & Onion Rings at FATBURGER, Los Angeles

When it comes to LA fast food spots, I may rave about my personal favorite In-N-Out burger (last month’s Restaurant of the Month), but there’s another West Coast favorite that keeps celebrities, surfers and Vegas gamblers happy beyond relief, and that spot is known as FATBURGER.
While east-coasters know nothing of this burger haven, for the past 60 years, Fatburger has been a Pacific coast mainstay! With burgers that can contain up to 24 oz of 100% USDA beef, fresh ingredients, made to order recipes, genuinely friendly service, and options galore, Fatburger has been consistently rated one of the best burgers in the west by various mainstream critics who know their burgers are no joke!

I’ve become so obsessed with In-N-Out burger when in LA, I didn’t even notice the abundant amount of Fatbrugers that seem to be on every LA corner like Starbucks in Manhattan. The Fatburger popularity is well-deserved. Aside from juicy and oversized burgers and made-to-fit buns ranging in size from “small” to “xxx-Large,” the works burger include a rich relish, fresh tomatoes, crisp onions and everything else you’d want and/or expect on a burger. (You can had cheese, bacon or homemade chili for $1 or so more). The bread is not as soft as I’d normally like it to be, but the freshness, flavor and distinct flavors makes any fault minute. The fries and homemade onion rings are cooked in 100% cholesterol free oil, and everything is made to order.

The other night I rolled in and ordered a large burger with cheese and bacon with onion rings! I’m still fighting to lose the weight, but I’m not mad at myself! Fatburger’s hype, popularity and attention are well-deserved! Any burger lover can appreciate the variety, flavor, and comfort of a good burger spot and Fatburgers delivers with flying colors! My meal ran me about $10 and I left happy, stuffed and ready for bed.

Bj, you make food sound sooooo good and yup you're right, the east-coasters don't know anything about this burger haven. I have tried In and Out Burger though and ILOVE em' :-)
Those onion rings are perfectly battered. Next time you should try their french fries! They know how to make a good burger out there on the West Coast.
